課程概述	本課程探討明清時期中國海洋史之重大議題。暫定八項主題，以兩周完成一項主題為原則。進行方式先由教師講授概要，繼由學生針對特定內容報告或發言討論。課程以互動方式為之，學生可以隨堂建議探討之重點。實際講授的內容可隨選課同學之需求及課堂討論之發展而作權宜調整。
課程目標	讓學生熟習相關課題、研究概況、檔案史料與可發展之課題，並培養研究海洋史之能力。
課程要求	選課同學無先修要求，但以能閱讀外文為佳。學生之期中報告為書目回顧或書評性質、期末報告為主題文章或研究論文性質，長短皆不拘，唯內容需為學生本人研讀、思考之成果。視學生人數寡，得安排全部或部份學生於課堂進行口頭報告。
